James was most recently seen as Skimmer in Richard Sherman’s new musical, Pazzaz! at the Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara. Other credits include: The Celebration Theatre’s world premiere comedy L.A. Tool and Die: Live! Before that, he originated the role of space-lizard, Dick Deadeye in Crown City Theater’s Star Trek/Gilbert and Sullivan mash-up, USS Pinafore. Other LA area appearances include: Humphrey in Our Leading Lady at The Neighborhood Playhouse in Palos Verdes, Hal in Lovers and Other Strangers (Theatre 68, Hollywood,) Theo in Steve Martin’s The Underpants (Sierra Madre Playhouse,) Bazzard in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (also at TNP.) James has performed in many stock and regional theaters across the country and appeared in St. Louis Rep. and Cincinnati Playhouse’s joint production of Sweeney Todd and Hartford Stage’s original musical working of Martin Guerre and off-off Broadway in the revival of Cute Boys in their Underpants.
